Giving questions
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Guatemala Hope is a nonprofit religious organization, so your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You'll receive an emailed receipt for your records as soon as your gift is processed.
How is my donation used?
The large majority of every gift goes directly to village projects — clean water systems, safe homes, and community development — with the remainder covering the essentials of running those projects well. We're committed to transparency and are glad to answer questions about how funds are used.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. All payments are handled by Stripe, a globally trusted, PCI-certified payment processor. Your card details go straight to Stripe over an encrypted connection — Guatemala Hope never sees or stores them.
Can I give a recurring monthly gift?
Yes. On the giving form you can choose a one-time gift or a recurring monthly donation. Monthly partners provide the steady support that lets us plan long-term projects with the villages we serve.
How do I change or cancel a recurring donation?
You can manage or cancel your monthly gift anytime — no account needed. Use the secure management link in your Stripe email receipt, or contact us and we'll help right away.
Are there other ways to give?
Absolutely. In addition to giving online, you can mail a check or ask us about other giving options. Reach out through our contact page and we'll walk you through it.
